Sunday, June 21, 2015. The summer of the working girl. People talk about summer officially starting. I find it a bit ironic. In Finland, midsummer is the peak of summer. You know? Tuesday, June 2, 2015. And, of course, as the cher.
Thursday, June 22, 2017. After a busy spring of racing, including a marathon in early May, I figured I was post-peak and would need a full summer to recover and rebuild. Nevertheless, in the week or so leading up to the race I resolved to just go for it and if I blew up at 3 or 4 miles so be it. An all time personal best! Conditions, my training and sharpening seemed just right.
